| Salsa Mix 1 1/2 cups dried cilantro 1/4-1/2 cup garlic powder 1/2 cup dried chopped onion 1/2 cup dried sweet pepper flakes 2 tablespoons salt 2 tablespoons ground black pepper In a small bowl, combine all ingredients until well blended. Store in an airtight container. Yield about 2 3/4 cups mix. To serve: For a spicy salsa, blend 2 tablespoons salsa mix with one oz can diced tomatoes and green chilies. For a mild salsa blend 2 tablespoons with one 14 1/2 oz can stewed tomatoes that have been finely chopped. Serve Salsa with chips. For a spread, blend 2 tablespoons salsa mix with 1 Cup softened cream cheese and serve with crackers. Refrigerate all prepared mixtures overnight to allow flavors to blend. |
