Many resale shops are small on size, which means space is at a premium. To clear their shelves of last season’s clothes, they’ll offer them at a huge discount. Given that prices are already discounted because the clothes are gently used, and you can find fantastic bargains. If you then sell the items at the end of the season, you just might make your money back.
Consignment Sales
Consignment sales like “Just Between Friends” and “Trading Hands Kids Sale” are offered around the country… focusing specifically on children’s clothing, toys and gear. Items like new are sold for a fraction of a cost, but only during the duration of the sale, which usually last three or four days.
Garage Sales
The weather is slightly cooler over the dog days of summer, which inspires neighbors to clean out their garage and get rid of their junk. Browse garage sales in neighborhood that you like to find great deals on seasonal clothing. Who knows… you may even find something you can wear this winter if the owner tried it on and realized it doesn’t fit anymore.
Discount Stores
Some people overlook their neighborhood discount store, like Walmart, Kmart and Target for clothes shopping. However, they’re a great stop if you want to snag a steal. While the quality of these clothes may not be as great as what you’ll find in many designer stores, you may be surprised. Plus, the price reflects the quality! Buy a $5 shirt and if it lasts one season, you get your money’s worth.
